Logistics packaging company based in Yorkshire, Hazel 4D, has donated a number of poly bags to a local seamstress hoping to put a smile on the faces of frontline workers.

The Sewing Shack, a small business based in Bolton, was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as many other businesses have. However, after seeing a Facebook post, Khadija Ingar, owner of The Sewing Shack, decided to start producing colourful scrub bags, along with numerous other volunteers, to donate to NHS workers mainly in the Bolton, Farnworth and Kearsley area.

Though the product was originally packaged in carrier bags and bin liners, Khadija wanted the scrub bags to be visible to showcase the volunteers' hard work. Therefore after contacting an ex-colleague, she decided to get in touch with Hazel 4D to help supply poly bags. Khadja said:

“I emailed Lisa Houghton, from Hazel 4D, with our project details and she immediately responded and was happy to help. A box was delivered shortly after free of charge.”

“These bags have made it so much easier to pack and dispatch to the NHS staff and health workers.”

The poly bags provided by Hazel 4D are self sealable, making it neater and easier to use without the use of sellotape. Khadija added:

“Not only have the bags made it easier to pack into boxes, but the time saved means we can continue this project at a high pace. Once again, many thanks for supporting this valuable cause.”
